Pascal: "In honor and respect for the animal world"

It is monumental how Animal Police delivers the highest standards of professionalism and quality to the animals on site in Mallorca to enable them to live a dignified life.

In every respect, one can only bow deeply before the commitment that extends to every fingertip and the limited financial resources available for the animals in the sanctuary.

It is hardly conceivable that anything comparable is being accomplished elsewhere with such devotion and self-sacrifice – a truly exemplary model.

Three weeks ago, I completed a 10-day volunteer placement on Finca Noah, and at 56 years young, I can say there are few things in my life that have felt so meaningful, fulfilling, and made me so proud. It comes with a great deal of hard physical work—you feel it in every muscle fiber of your body—and it can truly be regarded as an extremely important life lesson and training for both body and mind. For me personally, I felt more fit afterward than I had in the last twenty years.

Farah de Tomi, founder and driving force of this animal welfare organization, is omnipresent around the clock despite her severe health challenges. In brief, I found her to be a sincere, very direct, passionate, impulsive, and genuinely trustworthy person. That is why she, as one would expect, does everything to maintain the facility to the highest standards of cleanliness and animal care. A large, well-equipped common room is available for rest and meal times. It is of course expected that you cover your own food and accommodation costs (rooms can be rented; shopping for food and drink is organized), and you take responsibility for meal preparation yourself.

Really, I have only one appeal for the readers and followers of these written lines: soon make it your next priority to follow in the footsteps of myself and many others, and cement your mark on site with the goal of sustainability in mind. Farah de Tomi, her dedicated permanent team, and the various volunteers who support this work with heart and soul deserve your active investment in this life-sustaining mission—whether for a limited time or, even better, permanently.

In my eyes, Farah de Tomi embodies a "Mother Teresa" for animals in need, and I sincerely wish that she can soon overcome her serious illness with her positive mindset, courage, zest for life, and the support of the loving people around her.

With the deepest respect and wishes for a secure future filled with love, well-being, and health for both animals and people, I remain hopeful for the next opportunity.
