Dear Readers,
Once again, we would like to share moving stories with you that remind us how important it is to stand up for animals.
On a Facebook page for animal lovers in Mallorca, Farah became aware of a call for help from a Spanish woman. A woman who urgently needed assistance for a rabbit family. A Russian family had kept four rabbits in their apartment. For reasons unknown to us, they were abandoned and left alone on the street. Tragically, one of the rabbits was hit by a car, two were quickly captured and thus saved from certain death, while the third rabbit crouched terrified under a bush for three days where it couldn't be reached. The patience of the animal-loving Spanish woman paid off. Today, all three have moved in with us at Finca Noah β in Mallorca's largest aviary (240 sq m). The three have already met our veterinarian Miguela. All three were infested with mites, and the male was immediately neutered.

Emergencies in Animal Welfare on Mallorca β We Need Your Support!**
The situation in animal welfare on Mallorca is becoming increasingly urgent. More and more neglected or injured animals are reported to us daily by tourists and island residents. Tourists explore the island and sometimes drive to areas we would never visit, which means we probably would never discover an animal that desperately needs help. Especially during holiday season, the number of animals that are abandoned or surrendered to shelters increases. These animals urgently need our help to recover. To be able to help even more animals in need, we depend on support. We are looking for committed volunteers who can assist us in caring for, supporting, and providing for the animals. Many helping hands mean a lot of support β this way we can give more animals the attention, love, and care they so urgently need.
If you have a heart for animals and want to help, please get in touch with us! Together, we can ensure that the animals on Mallorca and the animals already rescued at Finca Noah receive the love and care they deserve. On our website you'll find all information and volunteer reports that will give you insight into what awaits you here on the island of Mallorca in animal welfare and at Finca Noah.

Help an animal and support it with a sponsorship!**
If you're already on our website browsing around, then take a look at our Sponsorships section. There you'll find lots of beautiful photos of rescued souls who have found a place with us and for whom we're looking for sponsors to be sustainable and to ensure the monthly costs of veterinary care, feeding, and care. We know that not everyone can help us in person here in Mallorca, at Finca Noah β but you can help the animals from home. When you take on a sponsorship, you give an animal a better, a second life full of love, attention, and health. We will regularly update you on your sponsored animal's progress, send you photos, or even offer live videos if a personal visit isn't possible. From experience, I can tell you this: Every sponsor who has visited their sponsored animal with us has told us that it's the most beautiful thing in the world to see the sponsored animal not just in photos, but to be able to touch and cuddle with them too. Please don't hesitate, reach out to us if you have any questions β we're always happy to help.

A visit full of emotions!
In December 2019, Kristian heard from Farah about a special dog named Luna. Kristian was looking for a family dog and spontaneously decided to visit Farah at the farm. Luna was the very first Pastor MallorquΓn dog that Farah rescued with her puppies. Perhaps some of you remember Luna β I reported in the newsletter that we were able to welcome Luna back to Finca Noah for a dog holiday. She was a gentle soul who, despite her difficult past, learned to trust. Luna was adopted by Patrizia Kelly and her family, who gave her a new life full of love. Kristian had become particularly attached to one of her puppies. Today, the puppy Miro is the biggest and cheekiest of all those puppies back then. He is a proud dog who commutes between Germany and Mallorca. Not a single day does Kristian regret having made this decision. Kristian, his wife, and their two children are just on vacation with Miro, spending time in Mallorca and of course also at Finca Noah to care for the animals and support us. Since February 2020, Miro has been part of the family, and since then the entire family comes to us at least twice a year with great joy and enthusiasm to care for and entertain the animals. In the summer of 2022, there was no call from Kristian saying they were in Mallorca and would love to help us. Farah became very worried. She wondered if perhaps she had done something wrong, if maybe the family was upset with her. Thousands of thoughts swirled in her head. Deep in her heart, Farah knew: The family loves the animals, loves Finca Noah. Jan, the son, had always been the one who wanted to be with the animals every day, who had taken every single animal into his heart with bright eyes. Something must have happened!
Then came the shock. Kristian called and told the devastating news: Jan had had a serious bicycle accident. On the last day of school before summer vacation, he was hit by a truck. A moment that changed everything. Jan, who was so lively and full of energy, was seriously injured. His sister had to witness the dramatic accident β witness to a tragic moment that changed the family's life forever. Jan was immediately operated on, but his injuries were severe. He suffered serious head injuries and now uses a wheelchair. He will always need care, but the family is taking this on together, because Jan is a fighter. He is making more and more progress, even though the doctors had already given up on him long ago. The family is incredible β how they stick together, how they've gone through such a difficult time as one, constantly supporting each other and above all loving their son as he is. I had the privilege of meeting Jan in person. He is back in Mallorca for the first time since his accident β and of course also with us at Finca Noah. By now, Jan can communicate using a keyboard. He types what he thinks and wants to say, because his voice is silent. Over and over again, Jan has told his parents through this keyboard that he wants to be with the animals again. He absolutely wants to be back with Farah. It's incredible to see how Jan hasn't lost his smile β despite all the blows of fate in recent years. Jan won't be denied the chance to be in the thick of things again. He finds joy in the animals, and who knows, maybe the animals gave him the strength to fight his way back to life.

This story shows us how fragile life is, but also how strong love can be. Jan, it was wonderful to welcome you back to Finca Noah after such a long time. We wish you all the best and hope to see you again very soon.

Congratulations on the wedding!**
The entire Animal Police team congratulates the newlyweds Sven Epiney and Michael Epiney on their wedding. After 6 years of engagement, the two have finally said their vows. Sven and Michael are great animal lovers and of course welcome helpers at Finca Noah. The two have supported the Animal Police Association for years, keep coming back here, and fall in love again and again with all the rescued souls. Kindhearted people to whom we β also on behalf of our animals β would like to say thank you for the support and wish only the best for your shared future.

As animal-loving people, you learn to be compassionate, patient, and caring β qualities that only make a relationship stronger. It doesn't matter whether the relationship is between human and human or human and animal.
With these words, I would like to say goodbye and thank you very much for reading.
